Edit KNIGHTSWOOD BUS GARAGE, 1932
IT'S the end of another busy day for two Glasgow Corporation buses at the Knightswood Garage.
An official bus network was up and running in the city by 1894, but petrol-engined buses didn't become a regular sight on Glasgow's streets until 1924.
Although radically altered, the Knightswood Bus Garage was still in operation until a few years ago - used by FirstGroup buses.
The site is now being
demolished to make way for around 250 new homes.
A new £4.25million state-of-the-art garage is to be built at Whiteinch, near the Glasgow harbour project, to provide a base for the city's bus fleet.
